The College and Career Competencies approved by the Idaho State Board of Education in August 2017 outline a framework for educators and policymakers to address teacher preparation and recertification policy with a shared understanding of goals for student achievement.
In late September, you will receive a letter from the State Board of Education. This letter will tell you which Idaho colleges and/or universities have accepted you based on your grades and SAT/ACT scores. Your parents will also receive a reminder letter in October.
The ACT® test is a college entrance exam accepted and valued by all universities and colleges in the United States. The ACT is based on what students learn in high school and provides personalized information about their strengths for education and career planning.
Apply Idaho allows Idaho students to submit applications to one or more of Idaho colleges and universities at one time, without paying any application fees.
Next Steps Idaho offers a free e-newsletter for educators. The Idaho State Board of Education creates and manages all content.
Next Steps Idaho images are intended for school e-newsletters or other promotional materials. These feature Idaho middle and high school students and can be used in printed or digital materials produced by schools to promote Next Steps Idaho as a resource for students and families.
The Next Steps web banner ads are for use on school websites or to be distributed to community partners (media, libraries, nonprofits, other community organizations) that help students and families plan for the future. There are two ad sets: one for websites students might visit and one for websites parents, families, and educators might visit.
Next Steps social media graphics are intended to help schools promote the Next Steps Idaho website using school Facebook pages. There are images for student audiences and for a parent/family audience.
