About
College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) (formerly EITC) is Idaho’s newest comprehensive community college. On May 16, 2017 Bonneville County voters approved a measure to turn EITC into CEI. The new College now offers academic associate of arts (AA) and associate of science (AS) general education degrees that will transfer to a university. CEI will continue to offer career technical programs, basic skills instruction, workforce and community education, and online distant learning. CEI plans to be fully operational by January 2018. CEI continues to be accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. The College was created in 1969 to serve citizens in its nine county service area (Lemhi, Custer, Butte, Fremont, Madison, Teton, Jefferson, Clark, and Bonneville counties). Now CEI’s mission enlarges to provide open-access to affordable, quality education that meets the needs of eastern Idaho students, regional employers, and communities.
