Applicants must have been involved in 4-H for at least 4 years at the time of applications, with at least two of those years during high school. Procedure:Applicants must apply for the award through the free University of Idaho application process. At : Idaho Health Care Association (IHCA) online programs or other accredited post-secondary educational institutions

Open to students currently enrolled in an IHCA online course or students enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution that have completed at least one semester/quarter. Must be employed or volunteering in a long term care facility. Must maintain a passing grade in online courses or a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Selection based on academic achievement, financial need, career goals, and work history or volunteer experience in a long term care facility.

Submit application (available at the website below) with proof of enrollment, description of current financial need, personal statement, resume, and two (2) letters of support from program faculty, work supervisor, or other person familiar with your work performance. Applicant may be asked to participate in an interview with the IHCA Scholarship Selection Committee.

Description:Open to Idaho residents that have graduated or will graduate (seniors) from an accredited Idaho High School. No youth that is a member of the immediate family of an officer, member of the Board of Directors, or employee of the Idaho Horse Council will be eligible. Selection based on academic achievement (minimum 2.5 GPA), leadership potential, sportsmanship, and community/civic responsibility. Preference will be given to those who are able to demonstrate involvement with the horse industry.
