How to Study

Remember—you’re responsible for managing your schoolwork. This means setting aside time to focus on homework and to study for tests. Developing good study habits in junior high and high school will help you get good grades and higher scores on standardized tests. That means you’ll have more options after high school.

Joining a club, playing a sport, participating in theater or volunteering with a religious organization—these all count toward becoming a well-rounded student, which will help when it’s time to apply to school or seek out scholarships. Extracurricular activities also give you the chance to explore your interests and find out what you’re good at. You won’t know until you try something new!
