DESCRIPTION:The GEAR UP Idaho Scholarship is available to students who participated in the early intervention component (7th-10th grade) of the GEAR UP program and will graduate in 2012\, 2013 or 2014. Awards will range from $0 to the equivalent of that year’s maximum Pell grant award and is renewable for up to four years. \nEligibility: \nTo qualify for the scholarship\, a student must meet all of the following criteria: \n\nBe less than 22 years old at time they first receive their scholarship award.\nBe a graduating senior of an Idaho high school participating in GEAR UP\nEnroll as a full-time undergraduate student at North Idaho College\, Lewis-Clark State College\, College of Southern Idaho\, Eastern Idaho Technical College\, University of Idaho\, Boise State University\, Idaho State University\, Brigham Young University-Idaho\, Northwest Nazarene University\, The College of Idaho\, or College of Western Idaho\nComplete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to February 15\nApply for the GEAR UP scholarship in the same year as their graduation from high school.\n\n

SUMMARY:Governor's Cup Scholarship Application Deadline
DESCRIPTION:The Idaho Governor’s Cup Scholarship provides approximately 25 awards\, depending on funding\, to Idaho high school seniors planning to attend an Idaho college or university. \nThe number of awards is conditional on the availability of funds. Awards will be available to scholars pursuing academic and professional-technical education. This is a $3\,000 award\, renewable up to four years for academic programs and up to three years for professional-technical programs. \nEligibility: \nTo qualify for the scholarship\, a student must meet all of the following criteria: \n\nBe a resident of Idaho\nBe a graduating senior of an Idaho high school\nEnroll as a full-time student in an academic or technical program at an Idaho college or university (and take the ACT or SAT if enrolling in an academic program)\nHave a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above\nAttend the first semester of college following graduation\nWrite a 500-word personal essay about your goals and interests\nHigh consideration for selection will be based on a demonstrated commitment to public service. Documentation of volunteer work\, leadership\, and public service is required.\n\n

DESCRIPTION:The Tschudy Family Scholarship provides scholarships to outstanding students graduating from Emmett High School. \nThe award is $2\,500 and is renewable for up to five years of undergraduate study and two years of graduate study. It is awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. \nEligibility: \nTo qualify for the scholarship\, a student must meet all of the following criteria: \n\nBe an Idaho resident\nBe a graduating Emmett High School senior or have graduated within the last seven years from Emmett High School\nEnroll as a full-time academic student (at least 14 credit hours) at BSU\, ISU\, LCSC or UI\nHave a cumulative GPA of 2.6 or above\nComply with all the provisions of the Tschudy Family Scholarship\nSubmit scholarship application by February 15\nAll applicants must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 15\n\n
