The Idaho Opportunity Scholarship is a need-based award award for students with at least a 3.0 unweighted cumulative GPA. Students who are current recipients of the Idaho Opportunity Scholarship must complete a renewal application every year.
To qualify for the scholarship, a student must meet all of the following criteria:
- Have an unweighted, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Be an Idaho resident
- Be a graduate from an Idaho high school or its equivalent (GED from Idaho)
- Complete the State Board of Education scholarship application by March 1
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to March 1
- Accept all federal grant aid that is made available
- Enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at Lewis-Clark State College, University of Idaho, Boise State University, Idaho State University, Brigham Young University-Idaho, Northwest Nazarene University, or College of Idaho; OR enroll at least quarter-time at College of Western Idaho, College of Southern Idaho, Eastern Idaho Technical College, or North Idaho College
