The demand for a well educated workforce was just one of the driving forces behind the creation of Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter’s Opportunity Scholarship.
Students who are current recipients of the Idaho Opportunity Scholarship must complete a renewal application every year.
Eligibility:
To qualify for the scholarship, a student must meet all of the following criteria:
- Have an unweighted, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Be an Idaho resident
- Be a graduate from an Idaho high school or its equivalent (GED from Idaho)
- Complete the State Board of Education scholarship application by March 1
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to March 1
- Enroll as a full-time undergraduate student seeking their first undergraduate degree at Lewis-Clark State College, University of Idaho, Boise State University, Idaho State University, Brigham Young University-Idaho, Northwest Nazarene University, or College of Idaho; OR enroll at least quarter-time at College of Western Idaho, College of Southern Idaho, Eastern Idaho Technical College, or North Idaho College
